Your data
Delete your account and data
Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription.
Apple or Google bills you for Premium, not Pricey, so it keeps renewing until you cancel it with them. Cancel first, then delete.
In the app
If you signed in with Google or Apple · Instant
Open Profile, tap the settings icon, then Delete account and confirm. If you last signed in more than 10 minutes ago, you'll be asked to sign in again first. That stops anyone who picks up your unlocked phone from wiping your account.
This removes your account and everything synced to it, on every device. Your phone stays registered as a new, empty install so the app keeps working. If you want that removed as well, send us an email request too.
By email
If you never signed in, or can't open the app
Email us and we'll delete everything linked to your phone. The button below opens an email with the details we need already laid out.
Email a deletion requestHow we know it's yours
Pricey doesn't use usernames or passwords, so how we check depends on whether you signed in.
If you signed in with Google or Apple, use the in-app option. Signing in again proves it's you.
If you never signed in, your watches are tied to your phone's install, not to a name or email. The proof we use is a recovery key. While Pricey is still installed, open Profile, tap the settings icon, then Back up your watches. That copies a key you can paste into your email. Once we've matched it, we delete the install's data.
If you've already uninstalled Pricey and didn't save a key, email us anyway with your phone model and roughly when you used the app. Be aware that we may not be able to find your data: it was never linked to your name or email, and we won't delete an install we can't confidently match, because it might be someone else's. Without the app, nobody can open that data either, including us.
What gets deleted
All of this is permanently removed from Pricey's systems:
- Every watch you set up, with its target price and chosen stores
- Your purchase confirmations and savings history
- Pricey's record of your Premium subscription
- Your daily photo search count
- Your Pricey account and its Google or Apple sign-in link, if you signed in
- Your phone's registration, its access token and push token, and any listing reports sent from it (email requests only, because the app needs these to keep working)
Recent searches, achievements and the home screen widget are stored only on your phone. Uninstalling Pricey removes them.
What we keep, and for how long
A little data stays after deletion, either because it doesn't identify you or because someone else holds it.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Price history | Prices belong to products, not people. They're shared by everyone and contain nothing about you. | Indefinitely |
| Affiliate click counts | We record which store and affiliate program a click went to, so we can match it to commission reports. It isn't linked to you. | 12 months |
| Server error and security logs | Finding faults and investigating abuse. Search text and identifiers are stripped before logging. | Up to 12 months |
| Database backups | Backups roll over on their own schedule, so deleted data drops out of them a little later. | Up to 35 days |
| Purchase records at Apple, Google and RevenueCat | They handle the payment and keep their own records under their own policies and tax rules. We can't delete those for you. | Set by them |
How long it takes
In-app deletion happens straight away. For email requests, we reply within 2 business days and finish within 30 days. Backups clear within 35 days after that.
Before you go
Deleting can't be undone. There's no export button, but you can email us for a copy of your data first. If you only want fewer notifications, you can turn them off in Profile, then the settings icon, then Notifications, or remove individual watches from the Watching tab.
