How the 90-day renewal works
On the free plan, a watch stays active for 90 days. After that it pauses: Pricey stops checking it and won't send alerts for it.
A paused watch is never deleted. The product, your target price and the stores you picked are all still there. Tap Renew on it in the Watching tab and it runs for another 90 days. You can renew as many times as you like.
Why have it at all? Every price check costs us money, and a watch someone set up two years ago and forgot about still gets checked every day. Renewing is a quick way of saying you still want it. The alternative was a much smaller watch limit on the free plan, and we think this is fairer.
With Premium, watches don't expire.
Billing, renewal and cancelling
Who charges you
Premium is an in-app subscription. Apple or Google charges your Apple ID or Google Play account. Pricey never sees or stores your card details.
How much, and how often
Yearly is $49.99 AUD every 12 months. Monthly is $7.99 AUD every month. The price shown in the app when you buy is the one that applies. Outside Australia, Apple or Google may show it in your local currency, with local tax included.
Automatic renewal
Both plans renew automatically. You're charged when you confirm the purchase, and again at the start of each new period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current one ends. The renewal charge happens within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Free trial
There isn't one. A price drop might not happen inside a week-long trial, so a trial wouldn't show you much. The free plan does the same job, and it doesn't run out.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in your store account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for, and that period isn't refunded.
- Manage or cancel on Apple, or on your iPhone go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Manage or cancel on Google Play, or in the Play Store app tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
You can also get there from the app: open Profile, tap the settings icon, then Manage subscription.
Deleting the app, or deleting your Pricey account, does not cancel your subscription. You have to cancel in the Apple or Google account that pays for it.
When Premium ends
Nothing is deleted. Your watches, price history and savings all stay, and you keep all 50 watch slots. Two things change:
- Your watches start a 90-day clock from the day Premium ends. When it runs out they pause, and one tap renews each one.
- Photo searches go back to 5 a day.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall Pricey, switch phones, or Premium doesn't show up, open Profile, tap the settings icon, then Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the Apple or Google account you paid with.
Refunds
Apple and Google handle refunds for in-app subscriptions under their own policies, because they take the payment. You can ask for one through Apple or Google Play. None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
